Technical Restrains
1. iOS system
2. Limited Budget
Design Process
1. Interview the client to define the scope based on budget
To do the best under the budget, we decided to use the native kit in iOS. And we will focus most on the key screen for the important functions, so that we can have a balance to provide complete UX and UI design as much as we can under a limited budget to help our client.
2. Market Research & Design Strategy
Analyzed the Reminder apps which were popular at that time : WeDo, Wunderlist, Cozi , Any.do… . We found they all provide multiple task manage functions. However as a MVP, we should emphasize the on unique part.
So we set the goal on building these pages first :
  • Calendar view: Choose year/month/date, Show task, event list and date etc
  • Reminder page: Choose time, Add location, Add title, Add group member and etc
3. Create the Wireframe and flow
This is also our first check point with the client. They shall see how our strategy can help them build MVP quick.
We provide the proposal includes flow to discuss the details. It's a great discussion to help us complete the wireframes.
4. UI design
As the final check point, we provide 2 proposals and render to our client:
  • Bright daylight : Keep engery
  • Smooth Sunset : Calm style for relaxing
The client chose the bright daylight since they want the product to present productivity.
Outcome & Client’s feedback
"They can deliver a good quality of work on time. I plan to hire again for the next job."
1. Phase 1 : Wireframe
2. Phase 2 : Sketch file with key screens
With sufficient discussion, it's a great experience to work with our client. And all the discussion went smoothly with representation and visualization.

This work was completed on 2017 in Otte Design.
